The Mark of the Beast is a part of mythology, it is not real.
I think product research and development is good, but I doubt something like this will gain popularity. I have doubts in MS's ability to release hardware, just look at the Zune. Maybe they can make an Xbox controller out of it, but i have a feeling they just want to tease investors with little projects like this.
